1982年获西安交通大学机械制造工艺设备及其自动化专业工学学士,1987年获西安交通大学振动冲击噪声专业工学硕士,1990年获英国南安普敦大学声与振动研究所(ISVR)声与振动专业哲学博士,曾任英国铁道部铁道科学研究院高级研究员(1990-1995)及英国潘得路国际公司研发技术经理(1996-2010),任英国南安普顿大学工程博士研究生院及欧洲铁道研究中心博士生导师(2000-2010);中国船舶集团第七二五研究所研究员(2011-2015),中国船舶集团科学技术委员会常委、首席技术专家(2016-2021),2016年任上海工程技术大学城市轨道交通学院教授,2019年任上海市(发改委)轨道交通振动与噪声控制技术(首批)工程研究中心主任。
长期从事轨道振动噪声分析及控制研究,城市轨道交通、高速及重载铁路等产品及技术开发,轨道系统关键零部件设计、试验及检测和信号处理等研究。先后开发10多个设计/分析软件,150多项专利,在国内外著名的核心刊物及国际著名学术会议上发表学术论文180多篇,承担和主持国内外重大科研项目40多项。
